strawberrybisque: Hi Quirky Got your Viva entry. Also, do you mean you want to be one of my affiliates? YES! I'd like that very much. I'd list you on my affiliates page. Do you want to do the same with my video website? sbfanvids.com? Let me know if this is what you meant. And I am so happy you like your awards - they are well deserved - that was a very unique/original idea! Great job!

First ever awards in a fanvid contest for me!!!

 • Mood: Elated
 • Music: Falling Down - Oasis
You might have noticed that I've added a new page to my website called awards. This is because I finally won something in a contest I entered. Woot!

I've entered a fair few vidding contests since I began making fanvids. However, I've never won any kind of award in them until now. I'm so absolutely thrilled to have been awarded for my vid making!

The vid I won for is the Phantom of the Opera vid that I made for a one episode of Doctor Who contest on Youtube. I've entered this one in a couple different contests, and ironically, heard the results from a competition that it was not created for before the contest has even ended on Youtube.

My rendition of the song Phantom of the Opera won both Most Haunted and Most Unique from the Visions in Video Awards (VIVA for short) Halloween Challenge. The hosts gave me these as awards for my video:

Aren't they cute?!?

I'm currently working on a Life on Mars (UK) vid and need to have it done by the 31st because it's being entered in a contest that ends on that date. For some unknown reason, I've been really into making videos for contests recently (many of which end on the 31st cause everyone seems to like that date).

New vid: Phantom of the Opera

 • Mood: Bored
 • Music: Evanescence
So, I've made another vid. This time it's to the main theme from Phantom of the Opera.

This was created for thedoctorsdonna's fanvid competition. For this competition, you take one, and only one, episode of 'Doctor Who' and create a vid using only those clips. I've chosen to do a Blink vid to 'Phantom of the Opera'.

This is the creepiest vid I've made so far, which works out nicely since Halloween's just around the corner...although, I didn't actually plan to do this one because of Halloween.

Anyways, the story goes something like this:
Sally Sparrow had a dream one night that she was being haunted by a phantom, or so she thought. Once she realizes she's awake and this phantom (the Doctor) is, in reality, haunting her, she makes every attempt to break free from the powerful hold he has on her. Unfortunately for Sally, despite her valiant attempts, she finds that the Doctor's draw is too strong for her, and she is forever within his grasp.

'Phantom of the Opera' is property of Sarah Brighton, Michael Crawford, and all others associated with that production of 'Phantom of the Opera'. All clips are property of the BBC. I own nothing.

I hope you guys enjoy it. Thanks for reading!

Site revamped (finally) + 3 new vids!

 • Mood: Sick...bleh
 • Music: Music and Lyrics Soundtrack
So, it's been forever since I've updated this thing. But I was at camp all summer, and then I've been busy working on vids and subbing. It's been busy, but also painfully boring at the same time (stupid sprained ankle ). Plus, I've been sick the past couple days, oh joy and happiness...

Anyways, if you've been to the site before, you'll notice that the look has changed a lot since you've last been here, as well as getting a different address (yay for free domains!). I like the new look of it a lot better though, and I feel like I have a lot more control over where stuff goes now, woot! I'd love to know your thoughts on it though. If you feel like sharing (about the site or thoughts about my work), please post to the forum or send me an e-mail.

I've also posted 3 new vids: Heart Shaped Box (Dollhouse), Those Who Are Dead (Fringe), and Lullaby (Doctor Who, Torchwood, The Office [US], and Fringe). In addition, I've re-posted 7 vids which Youtube previously copyright claimed. You can see any of the aforementioned vids within this post.

Thanks for reading and watching!

Site updated...finally...

 • Mood:
 • Music: Creep - Radiohead
So, I have really failed at updating this thing recently. Let's see, I've uploaded 2 vids since my last blog: Vienna - Fringe and Life on Mars - Doctor Who. Hopefully, you'll enjoy them.

I've also done several wallpapers since my last update. I haven't posted them on this site yet, but you can check out all my work on my SheezyArt account. I recently got Photoshop, so I'm still trying to figure out how that program works. I've had fun playing with it so far though.

Next up: I'm working on Creep by Radiohead. It's a Doctor Who/Torchwood Crossover, and I've got probably another half of it to do. However, it's going pretty quickly (at least in terms of video editing time), so not too much longer til it's up in theory.

Ok, I imagine that's pretty much it. Thanks for reading

New vid finally up! + Wallpapers added

 • Music: The Fringe Theme Song
So, I finished my newest vid like half a week ago...interestingly enough, I've had so much trouble with getting it up, that I'm just able to post it on my site now. I'm excited that I actually like everything about the vid for once (which basically never happens). Hopefully, you'll enjoy watching it.

The new vid is Two Thousand Years (by Billy Joel) with The Devil's Whore clips.

I've had much frustration with doing the vid. For one, the editor was not working completely properly, and it therefore took forever to get the video actually saved once it was finished. I also had trouble getting it to save in widescreen...apparently, overlay does differently when saving to a widescreen file for some reason. And then, once I actually got the thing saved, Youtube went and told me that it's going to be blocked in certain countries (namely the ones that would have the most people to watch them) because of Channel 4's settings. So, I spent a while trying to find somewhere to else that I could upload to embed the video on my website for people to watch. Anyways...after all of that, I've finally got it all up (to my knowledge). Hopefully it'll stay that way.

On a final note, I've added the wallpapers I've made to the website. There's a link to that page on all my pages, just like for the other main pages of my website. However, you can also click here to go directly to that page. I'm still learning how to do those, so I don't know how great they are. I might start trying to do icons soon as well.

Next up, a Fringe vid. I was intending to do a marathon of Fringe which should have ended before this weekend. However, due to crazy business and the aforementioned vid frustration, this didn't happen. I've made it through the first four episodes. It was my intention to watch all the episodes, and have a video up for when the series restarted on Tuesday. But since that didn't happen, I'm not sure if it's just gonna take me longer to get the vid done or if I'll just do the vid from the few episodes I have seen. I guess we'll see.

I dunno what's with all the smileys in this post, but whatever. Thanks for reading and watching!

Site Fixed!

 • Mood: Semi-relieved of frustration
 • Music: Two Thousand Years - Billy Joel
I know I just blogged like yesterday, and this is really soon for me to be writing again. But I have new stuff to tell you, so whatever.

So, after much apparent argument from the website, I've finally got it back to where it's working properly (I think). All the links on the vids should work now...hopefully.

In addition, I recently discovered that I could embed my vids from other sites onto this one without using extra bandwidth. Because of this, I've decided to post my newest vids on my videos page as I get them uploaded. However, this did require me switching the layout up a bit, which wouldn't normally be a problem. But, I did something stupid when I was trying to recode the darn thing and the whole page went all squiffy. It was strange and a pain in the rear to fix, but it's done now which is good.

On a final, more happy note, I'm about half-way done with the vid that I'm working on. It should be up very soon (mabey tomorrow/today, if i'm really lucky).

That's all for now. Thanks for reading!

Apologies in Advance (plus a new vid)

 • Mood:
 • Music: 24 - Switchfoot
Alright, so I just wanted to let you all know that there's a chance you'll have issues getting to download vids soon. The site that I was using to host my vids for download is suspending its operations indefinitely starting on the 30th of this month (which is tomorrow). As a result, I'm having to re-upload all my vids on another site. I found this information like 2 days ago, so there might be some lag in me getting my links set up properly again.

I will fix any issues that come from switching over my vid hosting as quickly as possible.

On another unrelated note, I've got a new vid up on youtube. This one is to 'Just Can't Get Enough' as song by the Saturdays. Please click here or go to the videos page to watch it. It's a happy, shipper vid (which I haven't done in over a year...crazy).

Finally, I've started making wallpapers. They're not great (in my opinion), but I'm considering posting them. Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing them.

Thanks for reading!

Something Beautiful

 • Mood: Accomplished
I've worked very hard to get my latest vid done, finally. (It seriously took months cause I kept getting stuck in places.) Anyways, I'm glad to say that it's done and you can now download it (or any of my other vids as always) by going to the Videos page of my website. I hope you like it, and thanks so much for watching.

I've been trying to get the kinks out of the way the site's set up. Hopefully, I've gotten them all fixed, but please let me know if you see something wrong. Thanks, and enjoy the new video

Site's Up...Woot!

So, after starting over a few times and the page editor being a pain in the rear, my website's finally up. It's been interesting trying to get it to look like I want it to. It's been a nice distraction though...yay distractions...lol. I'm really glad to have it all put together finally though.

I posted a 'Life On Mars' vid to 'Where's The Orchestra' by Billy Joel last week. There's a link and description of the vid on my videos page, so check it out!

Hopefully, I'll get another vid finished soon, but we'll see how life goes.

I hope you enjoy watching my videos and the new website. Feedback is much loved (the good and the bad) so please e-mail me or post on the forum.

Thanks for reading!
